Are you an experienced educator who loves helping students achieve their goals? If so, we want to meet you! Open Door Education is a locally-owned tutoring firm seeking smart, enthusiastic tutors to join our team and help our students succeed.

We are currently hiring test prep tutors with experience teaching the SAT, ACT, and/or SSAT; academic tutors with expertise in Physics, Biology, and/or Chemistry; and Math tutors skilled in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Probability, and Statistics.

Open Door tutors are bright, thoughtful, patient, kind, creative, and funny people who are committed to providing exceptional tutoring, test preparation, and coaching. We meet with students online or in person at our office in Acton, MA. Open Door tutors work flexible hours, and receive the support and oversight that allows them to be the dedicated, thoughtful teachers that each student deserves.

Job Type: Part-time

Expectations

Ability to teach a comprehensive & individualized tutoring program for each incoming student
Exceptional communication skills that support strong relationships with students and their families
Punctuality, flexibility, the ability to work at least one weekend day, and a quick response time to emails, phone calls, and other communications
Mastery of verbal and quantitative test prep content and techniques and an ability to teach all sections of each test
Familiarity with United States college application and testing process
Experience and skill with online instruction and interactive whiteboard applications
All candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and teaching or tutoring experience
